Villa Diponegoro
Villa Diponegoro, named after the Javanese Prince Diponegoro (1785 – 1855), the eldest son of the Sultan of Yogyakarta. Prince Diponegoro became a national Indonesian hero because of – amongst international achievements – his role in the Javanese War (1820 – 1825) as its spiritual leader. It is widely believed that during the war Prince Diponegoro used to rest, pray and meditate on the large rock next to where now Villa Diponegoro is located. Villa Diponegoro is a spacious, elegant and romantic villa with astonishing views of the Borobudur Temple, the Merbabu and Merapi volcanoes. This villa has a private swimming pool placed in front of the villa itself, to make sure you can also enjoy the views while swimming.
